Q&A

What is it about your show that could help someone in the tea industry to be more successful (whether they are an importer, wholesaler, restaurant, hotel, retailer, serving or selling tea)?

..as an exhibitor – Retailers, operators, institutions, customers and others explore opportunities to truly understand the value that tea offerings can bring to their business. They are looking for partners to help educate and inform them about the tea industry so that they can incorporate tea into their businesses. Delegates are looking for guidance on how to communicate with customers, and market and sell tea products so that when they can successfully introduce new and exciting offerings to their customers.

..as an attendee – The Canadian Coffee and Tea Show acts as a gateway to the Canadian marketplace for coffee and tea industries. Vendors are there to help you be successful when you bring new offerings to your customers. The event also provides attendees with the opportunity to see the latest new products in the marketplace.

What do you see new or trending in the beverage industry overall?

Businesses are looking for what makes sense to their bottom line. They want products that will draw in new customers and revenue.

What do you see new or trending in the food and beverage industry that directly or indirectly applies to the tea industry?

We are seeing more and more a desire for “ease of use” and “ease of application” products. Businesses want products that are easy to prepare. We are seeing a return to simplicity and quality.

What are the latest trends you have seen at your show over the past year?

There is a key interest in good for you products including herbal teas and ready to drink products.

What are anchor highlights of your show every year?

Some of the anchor highlights of the show every year includes our interactive workshops that take place on the show floor. These workshops engage attendees through exploration and participation. Using this hands on approach participants are able to experience new flavours, take away new information and techniques, and discover new products.

What is new this year? . . And is it something offered this year only or expected to continue?

Every year the show aims to have 20% of the exhibitors on the show floor, as ‘new’ exhibiting companies bringing new products and experiences to the event.

What do you consider the best opportunity for networking at your show? (i.e. the show floor, after-hours events, awards, etc.)

The best opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals is on the show floor. Both attendees and exhibitors are exposed to a large group of quality decision makers, leading suppliers and industry leaders. The engagement and interaction on the show floor is always dynamic and energetic, and great to be a part of.

How is your education organized? by tract? topic? industry niche? workshops? seminars? demos? on floor presentations?

Education at the Canadian Coffee & Tea Show is organized by topic into a series of workshops, interactive demos and seminars for industry personnel to attend throughout both days. For example, the Tea Association has an interactive section where a number of interactive workshops will be taking place on the show floor.

How is your education priced? a package price? per session? all free? In general… and provide link to further details.

Education is priced as packages by day. Attendees can opt to purchase a 1-day education package for $112.00, which attendees can choose to use on either Sunday, September 23rd or Monday, September 24th. Or attendees can choose to purchase a 2-day education package for $180.00. This gives attendees access to the education sessions available on both days.
