Hey there! Welcome to my blog. Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Ruby RedHat, the official mascot of the Red Hat Society. Our Society is one of the world’s largest playgroups for women. We exist to have fun, and by simply being our best selves, we are positively reshaping the way women are viewed in our culture.
What do bling, boas, tea cups and hats, all have in common? Red Hat Society Supporting Members and Queens, of course! Queens royally lead our local and online groups.
Webster’s definition of the term Queen is “a female monarch in her own right.”
That’s so true, but we define a Red Hat Society Queen as a role-model, leader, and a creator of fun!
A Queen of the Society gathers her Members to enjoy all the fun and frivolity that goes along with the gathering including inadvertently promoting the stimulus of the local economy through the marked increase in the sale of goods covered in rhinestones and feathers.
And, of course, every RHS Queen deserves a Royal Coronation surrounded by her Supporting Members. The next Coronation will be held at this summer’s annual convention, Let the Good Times Roll in fabulous city of New Orleans, LA US, as we celebrate The Red Hat Society’s 20th Birthday!
Curious?! Become a Supporting Member or start your own Chapter as a Queen. As a Member of the Red Hat Society, you are royally invited to get in on the fun, and help us celebrate our 20th Birthday year in style! Check our SAVE THE DATE page for a year full of fun! It would be lovely to see you in the Big Easy! Beignets and iced tea, anyone?!
The Red Hat Society is a global society that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness. You can learn more about us by visiting our website: www.RedHatSociety.com. Join in the fun! You can also follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see how Hatters are cheering for fun in 2018. #CheersTo20Years

RUBY REDHAT is the official mascot of the Red Hat Society. In the year 2000, a little lady named Ruby appeared, out of nowhere, on the computer screen of EQM Sue Ellen's daughter, Andrea (aka Princess Daughter). Princess Daughter was working on the first Red Hat Society website and when Ruby got wind of it, she just volunteered her services as a representative (mascot?) for the entire membership. Ruby had recently finished compiling her Top Ten (plus one) Rules for Living and she had a feeling that both she and her rules would be able to help the Red Hat Society clarify its members and its purpose to the world. We are all thrilled to have her represent the little girl inside all of us, who is ready and willing to come out and play again in every woman who invites her to do so.
