Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong presents “The Garden Tea with Les Néréides” Afternoon Tea Collaboration at the Lobby Lounge. Inspired by world-renowned French costume jewelry house Les Néréides 2019 Spring Summer Collection ‘Luxurious Canopy’ and ‘Hanging Garden’, the tea’s exotic flavors and delicate presentation reflect the signature elements of Les Néréides new collections’ bold flowers and animals. Along with the tea and exclusive to Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong, each guest will receive a limited edition “Kerry x Les Néréides” bracelet along with shopping vouchers, available while supplies last.

The fanciful universe of Les Néréides has always found its inspiration in travel, making it a perfect partner to Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong, with its belief in fulfillment through adventure and travel. Executive Chef Matthew Woolford and Executive Pastry Chef Julien Gourmelon worked with the Les Néréides team to create delicacies reflecting the jeweler’s Amazon-inspired Luxurious Canopy collection and the whimsical and floral Hanging Garden collection. Just like the pieces of Les Néréides, each pastry is handmade with care to complete an exquisite collection.

The Hanging Garden collection’s tropical fruits led the chefs to create dishes with pomegranate, bananas and cocoa beans. While the exotic animals of the Luxurious Canopy collection inspired the bold colors and presentation of the pastries and savories. A famous resident of the Amazon jungle, toucans are well-known for their colorful prominent beaks, which are beautifully rendered by Les Néréides in earrings, necklaces and rings and by the hotel’s pastry chef in a sweet roasted coconut and milk chocolate mousse.  The savory foie gras ganache tart with dark chocolate, pomegranate and gold leaf represents the beautiful studded pomegranates in the Hanging Canopy. Chocolate foam and salted cacao crumble pods mimic delicate hanging fruit and cacao beans. A flower crab meat cone with passion fruit, mint and sesame symbolizes a romantic bouquet of flowers. Other menu highlights include freshly baked scones served with homemade pomegranate preserve and passion fruit butter.

Guests can take home a keepsake with the exclusive Les Néréides X Kerry Hotel bracelet. Inspired by the Hanging Garden and Luxurious Canopy collections, the bracelet is handmade by artisans in France of brass gilded with 14-karat gold. The bracelet’s pops of color comes from stones sourced from Thailand, India, China and the Philippines. The featured enameled stone represents a pomegranate, and the bright blue and yellow colors reflect the bold color range across the collection.

The “Garden Tea with Les Néréides” is available from May 17 to August 18, 2019 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. daily. Priced from HKD638 (about USD82) plus 10 percent per afternoon tea.
