About the Author
Born in Flanders, Belgium, Regula Ysewijn is a noted authority on British culinary history. Among her books are Pride and Pudding:The History of British Puddings Savoury and Sweet and The British Baking Book, which tells the story of how the diverse climate of the British Isles influenced the cultivation of cereal crops and the development of a rich regional baking identity. She is the resident culinary historian and judge on the Flemish version of the television series The Great British Bake Off and has consulted and presented for British television and radio productions.
