BLOG: Happy Birthday to us! – Guest Post by Ruby RedHat, Red Hat Society

Welcome to my blog.  Please allow me to introduce myself, I am Ruby RedHat, the official mascot of the Red Hat Society. Our Society is one of the world’s largest playgroups for women.  We exist to have fun, and by simply being our best selves, we are positively reshaping the way women are viewed in our culture.

The month of April is always special for Red Hat Society Members but this April’s activities are filling our hats to the brim! I really don’t know how we manage to squeeze so many parties in to 30 days! We’ll celebrate our birthday on April 25, 2018 with a Live Chat on Facebook and by throwing in-person parties around the globe.  But we don’t plan to stop there.  This is just the beginning, we’re going to celebrate all year long!

I will join my adventuring friends for a fabulous 20th Anniversary Cruise (April 14-24, 2018) to the Baja Peninsula and Sea of Cortez, Mexico! The merry band at RHS Hatquarters plan to meet us mid-trip in San Diego, CA, on April 15, 2018 for a day of play. We’ll be in Canada (April 14-15, 2018) for the trendy CARP ZoomerShow in Vancouver, BC.  And, everyone can be part of the Live Chat on Facebook to be held on our actual birthday on April 25, 2018.

ICYMI:  You are invited to become a Supporting Member or start your own Chapter as a Queen. As a Member of the Red Hat Society, you are royally invited to get in on the fun and help us celebrate our 20th Anniversary year in style! Check our SAVE THE DATE page for a year full of fun! The Red Hat Society’s 20th Anniversary Convention - Let the Good Times Roll – will be held in fabulous city of New Orleans, LA US this summer. I’d love to see you there! I’m naturally small but like Hatters - never invisible.

The Red Hat Society is a global society that connects, supports and encourages women in their pursuit of fun, friendship, freedom, fulfillment and fitness.  You can learn more about us by visiting our website: www.RedHatSociety.com. RUBY REDHAT is the official mascot of the Red Hat Society.  In the year 2000, a little lady named Ruby appeared, out of nowhere, on the computer screen of EQM Sue Ellen's daughter, Andrea (aka Princess Daughter). Princess Daughter was working on the first Red Hat Society website and when Ruby got wind of it, she just volunteered her services as a representative (mascot?) for the entire membership. Ruby had recently finished compiling her Top Ten (plus one) Rules for Living and she had a feeling that both she and her rules would be able to help the Red Hat Society clarify its members and its purpose to the world. We are all thrilled to have her represent the little girl inside all of us, who is ready and willing to come out and play again in every woman who invites her to do so.
