The 2019 International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York and Professional Bartenders Association will be offering an exciting competition for bartenders to enter and have the chance to win $1,000, bragging rights and gain exposure to thousands of industry peers. Hip Sip: Battle of the Modern Bartender Mardi Gras Edition is looking for leading bartenders to compete at the Expo, taking place at the Javits Convention Center, March 3-5, 2019. Hip Sip: Battle of the Modern Bartender Mardi Gras Edition is accepting entries until January 4, 2019 and can be sent to Patricia Copela at pcopela@urban-expo.com.
 
"Hip Sip returns this year with a twist, bringing the Big Easy to the Big Apple in honor of Fat Tuesday! Bartenders will be judged on creativity, use of product, taste, and presentation. The Hip Sip Challenge is always a highlight of our Center Stage and we encourage all bartenders to submit an entry of a delicious cocktail," said Tom Loughran, Vice President for the Clarion UX Food & Beverage Portfolio. "We thank Professional Bartenders Association, Bar Business Magazine and our esteemed judges for their participation in making this event entertaining and exciting."
 
Hip Sip: Battle of the Modern Bartender Mardi Gras Editionwill take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm. The chosen finalists will battle in this fun and exciting competition for the chance to win $1,000, bragging rights, a Q&A with photo in the April 2019 issue of Bar Business Magazine and a commemorative glass plaque of the featured article.
