Innovative products with unique taste and all-natural ingredients from Indonesia was promoted at the Natural Products Expo West, 9-11 March 2018 at the Anaheim Convention Center, organized by Indonesian Trade Promotion Office Los Angeles. Three exhibitors represented three export-ready natural food companies.

Located at Hall B, the Indonesian pavilion presented savory natural treats and organic products such as crunchy jerky made of cassava leaves, Torch Ginger Chili Sauce, thick-cut purple and yellow organic sweet potatoes seasoned with organic coconut sugar and salt, organic coconut sugar, as well as various organic teas.

For those familiar with the island of Bali, the Torch Ginger Chili Sauce is a condiment inspired by Sambal Matah; a sweet and savory chili sauce the Balinese often made from a herb known as ginger flower. For the health-conscious sweet-toothed, Indonesia provided a healthy organic coconut sugar, cooked slowly to achieve a light-brown color and made of 100% coconut sap with no fillers. Various teas – black, oolong, white, and green – taken from the mountainous and organic plantation of Harendong in Lebak, Banten complemented the kick from the spices and provided a refreshing finish to those sampling at the booth.

“Seeing the growth of natural and organic food segment in the US, ITPC LA embraces the momentum by joining the Natural Products Expo West and supporting several Indonesian entrepreneurs in the food industry,” said Director of ITPC Los Angeles, Antonius Budiman. “We see that the show is a good fit for Indonesia, knowing our country’s capacity of producing quality food products,” he added. The Natural Products Expo West is the biggest exhibition carrying natural and organic products. Food, lifestyle, and health products entering the show have to be selectively curated by the exhibition management every year.
