About TEA ADMIN

Hey there! If you need assistance, please see our home page and menu to learn how to contact us.

Asheville Tea Company is excited to announce the release of Kya’s Blend – a captivating tea blend inspired by the New York Times-bestselling novel, Where the Crawdads Sing.

“We are absolutely thrilled to partner with G.P. Putnam’s Sons to create a tea blend for Delia Owens' incredible book,” said Jessie Dean, owner of Asheville Tea Company. “Our whole team read it and we have been talking about it ever since. We were so honored to have been contacted to work together to create something so special.”

G.P. Putnam’s Sons approached Asheville Tea Company after searching for a local tea company to partner with the North Carolina-based novel.

The book, set in the wilds of the North Carolina coastal marshlands, is an unforgettable coming of age story by bestselling author Delia Owens. The novel is a profound and mysterious tale of a young girl, Kya, and her journey of survival through the beautiful, yet hauntingly wild coastline.

Asheville Tea Company’s Kya’s Blend is a beautiful complement to the novel pairing native North Carolina coastal plants to bring the main character’s experience of the Carolina marshland to life.

“The book is evocative of the natural environment on the North Carolina coast, and we wanted to bring Kya’s experience of living in the marsh to life with the tea,” Dean said.  “The result is a blend that can take you right to the Carolina marshland.”

Kya’s Blends pairs Ceylon Black Tea with native North Carolina coastal plants, including Yaupon- the only native North American caffeinated plant, along with White Pine, Myrtle Leaf, Lemon Balm, Lemon Peel, Cedar Berry and Bay Leaf.

Where the Crawdads Sing has been a New York Times bestseller for a consecutive thirty-three weeks and Reese Witherspoon and her Hello Sunshine label plan to produce a feature film.

For all you tea lovers out there, Kya’s Blend is available online at ashevilleteacompany.com. Be sure to follow Asheville Tea Company on Instagram and Facebook for more details! For more information on Delia Owens and Where the Crawdads Sing, visit www.deliaowens.com.
