About TEA ADMIN

Hey there! If you need assistance, please see our home page and menu to learn how to contact us.

Christmas is the time of the year for a big party in my house and over the years I’ve made of point of choosing a “signature drink” to kick the party off as guests come in…..I have a big picnic each Memorial Day and I’ve taken the “signature drink” idea and applied it to my picnic menu for the last few years so that now when guests come, the immediately ask what the holiday drink I’m serving? Who says you can’t teach an old dogs new tricks…maybe new expectations?

This year, because of all of the erratic weather and threats of rain, I decided early that day to move the party inside, BUT I made sure I had a table set up at the front door entrance and had this year’s drink ready to grab.

There are so many cool mixed drinks to try and I chose a remix of a 1920’s drink called a Bees Knees. Below is the recipe; my guests loved it!

BEES KNEES

Serves 8

2 ¾ cups pineapple juice

2 cups gin

1 ½ cups lemon juice

1 ½ cups grapefruit juice

½ cup honey

Mix all together in a blender. Garnish with grapefruit slices.

Perhaps try adding some tea as well. (Drink responsibly!)
