The 25th Annual International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New Yorkwill take place  for its final day today from 10 am - 4 pm at the Javits Center in New York.  The trade show and conference features hundreds of new products, in addition to an expansive educational program, cooking demonstrations, and other exciting events for restaurant and foodservice professionals to enjoy. The trade show and conference is sponsored by the New York State Restaurant Association. 

Kathleen Wood, Kathleen Wood Partners and moderated of The Foodservice Council for Women panel presented the Beacon Award to City Harvest's CEO, Jilly Stephens.   The presentation followed a lively conversation about the importance of women and leadership in the foodservice industry. Panelists include: Maneet Chauhan, Morph Hospitality; Ivy Stark, El Toro Blanco; Jilly Stephens, City Harvest; Morgan Tucker, M Tucker; and Victoria Vega, Unidine.

Tom Loughran, Vice President of Events for Urban Expo, producers of the International Restaurant Show presents Willem Bastiaens, Stacey Bjorklund and Dan Tipping the prize for best new product in the Pitch the Press Program for their Post It Notes Extreme Notes.

Congratulations to George Giotsas, Chef/Owner, Little Mark's Big BBQ for taking home the honor of Champion of the  Rapid Fire Challenge: Meatball Madness Edition.  The event was judged by David Holzman, Chef/Co-Owner, The Meatball Shop; Maria Loi - Chef, Restaurateur, Greek Food Ambassador, Author, Healthy Lifestyle Expert; and Gennaro Pecchia - Host, Gennaro Eats @ TheBeachNYC  and Sponsored and moderated by TotalFoodService.
