The Great Mississippi Tea Company teas Black Magnolia and Mississippi Queen will be featured at the Rare Tea Counter of Fortnum & Mason in London. The Great Mississippi Tea Company will be serving their teas and telling the story of their journey at Fortnum & Mason’s Piccadilly location September 19, 2018 2pm-4pm.

In addition to being featured at Fortnum & Mason’s Rare Tea Counter, the Mississippi farm’s teas will also be available in The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, which is described by Fortnum and Mason as, “Epitomising the sophistication of Afternoon and High Tea in all its splendour, our Diamond Jubilee was named in honour of Her Majesty’s visit in 2012, when she formally opened the room, in the company of their Royal Highnesses the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge.”

“We are absolutely delighted to have been able to source these two teas from Jason’s Mississippi Tea Company for the Fortnum & Mason rare tea counter in Piccadilly. We pride ourselves in seeking out the very finest examples of teas from across the globe; whether they be ‘famous’ types such as first flush Darjeelings, or the most esoteric varieties like the fascinating Dancong Oolongs from China’s Fenghuang mountains… Simply being ‘different’ or novelty is not enough for this range, the tea must taste exquisite and bring new dimensions to the range. Jason’s teas do this and I think the rare tea customers will really enjoy trying them.” - James Jobling, Head of Tea & Infusions- Ringtons, Ltd

The Great Mississippi Tea Company is located in Brookhaven, Mississippi and was founded in 2012 as a specialty tea producer. Their focus on quality has led to extensive research in the world of tea. In 2015, the farm consulted with Beverly Wainwright and Nigel Melican and its leaf produced 4 awards at The Tea of the United States Awards in Volcano, Hawaii.

“The exquisite, world class teas produced by the Great Mississippi Tea Company today are a result of many years of tea learning, extensive research, meticulous working methods and a lot of hands-on practice. The reputation this company has generated for quality is well deserved.” - Beverly-Claire Wainwright, Tea Consultant.

Since 2015, The Great Mississippi Tea Company has won numerous awards and accolades including a Silver Medal from the Global Tea Championship in 2017 for their Mississippi Queen. They are producing world class teas on par with global producers.

Fortnum & Mason is an upmarket department store in Piccadilly, London founded in 1707. They have a reputation for stocking exotic and specialty provisions.
