| First time advertising?
Not sure the best way to reach your customers?
How do you know your ads are working?
Want to get tea room owners to carry your products?
Want to get tea lovers to recognize your brand when they visit the tea rooms?
An Important Process to consumer loyalty ~ #1 Consistency,
Consistency, Consistency. You need to concentrate on consistently offering
superb customer service, great products, and dependable services. If you
continually provide consistent quality, you will achieve the very best
advertising which is good old fashioned ~ Word of Mouth. Get people
talking about you! #2 Use advertising to support your identity and create
and keep consumer awareness of your business and products. #3 Use PR to
your advantage. Learn ways to properly create news releases that will get
your products noticed in a positive way.
Know your products, know your customer, promote through every avenue
possible, create product recognition. Not too many companies help their
advertisers through this difficult process. If you are unsure how to
handle your advertising, visit your local library and select some books about
advertising. Books are great reference tools. Also study ads in
various magazines and newspapers placed by larger companies for design and content
ideas. Comparing what you do with others will help you decide what to
highlight about your business to stand out above the rest.
Your first priority is to advertise in every way possible to let people know
you are out there. No advertising = no sales. Who do you target?
You must target the companies you would like to carry your products (i.e. tea
rooms). You must also target the consumer. You must make your
product known and easily recognized by the consumer. You want to leave a
clear picture in their mind of what you are selling, what it looks like, and
where and how to buy it. This is creating brand recognition.
What do you do when you have advertised over & over again and have finally
built up a nice following of customers? Advertise some more. You
must keep YOUR product line top-of-mind with the consumer. If you don't,
someone else will. It's just like getting the same catalog in the mail
over and over and over again. A constant reminder of your products is
necessary to maintain brand awareness. Someone may not be ready to buy
today, but tomorrow or next week, if your ad hits them when they are ready to
purchase, you've made a sale and possibly a frequent, regular customer.
How do you know your ads are working? You must create a tracking
method. If you are advertising in multiple outlets, it is imperative that
you track your advertising to see what is working and what isn't. If your
ad offers a phone-in option, give a code in the ad for people to give when they
call. If your ad offers a mail-in payment option, create a Dept # as part
of your mailing address; another excellent way to track where your customers are
coming from. Or simply train your employees to ask people how they
heard of you when they contact you.
Want to get your products carried by tea room owners? Advertise via The
Tea House Times Resource Mailer. All you have to do is provide 500 flyers!

your website to purchase? Advertise in The Tea House Times. Please

Not sure how to create an ad? Ask for pointers. Since every
publication is different, something that worked in the last one just might not
work in a different publication.

Don't forget, advertising in magazines is imperative for
businesses who do not have a store front. Magazines ARE your store front.
If you are not mailing catalogs to hundreds or thousands of people on a regular
basis, then it is imperative that you advertise on a regular basis to remain in
the mind of your targeted customer. They will be reminded to place an
order for the first time or re-order every time they see your ad.
