As you may know, The Tea House Times makes a point to attend various trade shows to find products of interest to our growing list of Tea Room Owners throughout the United States.  The New York Gift Fair at the Javits Center in NY is huge and you can find every kind of gift item possible to suit every taste and budget.  We have limited time to visit the show each year, but do a pretty good job finding a few new/different items.  We try to visit some vendors we have met before to see what’s new and we hunt for some new vendors (new to us anyway) as well.  So here we go. . .

This year we actually exhibited at the NYIGF - with New York Newest exhibits at the Metropolitan Pavilion.  The Javits Center is completely full for this show - as are the piers.  If you want to get in - you start at the Pavilion - ask me about that another time! 

 

So I did not walk this show as much as usual but did find a few interesting things not seen before:

Lady Jayne Ltd  www.ladyjayneltd.com ~ We’ve been at their booth before and didn’t get a chance to stop by this time, but picked up a press kit at the press office.  The 2007 catalog states NEW ownership-Jayne is back.  Beautiful selections of pads, pens, cup sets, etc.  In the back are some “Estate Sale” items – very discounted – there are several different ceramic teapot shaped frames for a very good price while supplies last.

The Tea House Times is dedicated to helping busy tea room owners find new products.  This time we visited the New York International Gift Fair on Feb. 2, 2006 in New York City.
