Tea: An Avatar of Love - Guest Post by Sarah Scarborough, Firepot Nomadic Teas

Monday, March 27th 2017 @ 1:51 PM

Modern day monk and tea master, WuDe, tells us that tea is an avatar of love, a divine gift to man with the ability to raise our energy and open us to more love. Many plants create physical change in the body, as we know from Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and herbalism.  The tea plant has been used across Asia for millennia as a medicine and an herbal tonic, but tea’s function, WuDe says, also profoundly affects the spirit by connecting man with God through nature.

Ancient Japanese Buddhist monks that called tea the Divine Beverage and used it as a meditation aid would agree. So would the herbal healers and indigenous tribes in southern Yunnan that worshipped tea as a god its self.

There are plenty of chemicals in tea, especially fresh, high quality green tea that induce a state of bliss, euphoria, clarity, wellness and connection. When consumed in excess, the Chinese refer to this state as tea drunk.

Tea that is grown in accordance with the rhythms of nature and planted from seed, rather than from cuttings, is thought to have a greater vibrancy; hence a greater impact on body and spirit.

To experiment yourself, try Firepot’s naturally farmed tea from Mauna Kea, Hawaii or our Italian Grey or Firepot Breakfast made with biodynamic black tea grown from seed at Idulgashinna Bio Tea Garden in Sri Lanka.
