RECIPE: The Cozy Drink - Guest Post by Linda Villano, SerendipiTea

Monday, November 28th 2016 @ 2:23 PM

Cody Kirkland, beverage magician at Salt Lake City’s The Rose Establishment, created what he refers to as “a lazy autumn afternoon recipe” with spiced maple syrup, SerendipiTea’s Honeybush, Apple Ginger Bitters & Steamed Milk, topped with a generous shaving of Nutmeg.

The recipe is as follows:

Spiced Maple Syrup

10 g cracked black pepper

3 bay leaves

1 cup maple syrup

1 cup water

*Simmer in saucepan for 15 minutes, cool, strain.

Combine

½ oz spiced maple syrup

5 oz hot, double-strength brewed Honeybush

4 dashes Bitter Lab apple ginger bitters

5 oz steamed milk

Grate nutmeg on top

Voila the Cozy Drink! Now, flop into an overstuffed sofa by a roaring fire & savor The Rose Establishment’s inspired Tea Drink Menu, http://theroseestb.com/cafe-menu. The Cozy Drink is in good company.
