Holiday Tea and Tea Pairings by Laura Childs

Sunday, December 6th 2015 @ 8:41 PM

With visions of sugarplums dancing in my head, I think I’ve come up with what might be a perfect Holiday Tea menu.  Four separate courses each paired with a delightfully different tea.

Let’s start with cranberry orange scones with Devonshire cream, complimented by crème brulee tea.

Our second course will be a small square of Black Forest ham quiche served with cider herbal tea.

We can’t forget tea sandwiches, so let’s do coconut curry chicken salad on brioche and Dungeness crab salad on sourdough bread.  The perfect tea to accompany this?  Darjeeling.

For dessert let’s enjoy a slice of date nut fruitcake and a sliver of gingerbread cake with cream cheese frosting.  And we’ll keep it sweet as we sip a steaming cup of chai tea.

Happy Holidays!
