San Francisco’s Japanese Tea Garden by Laura Childs

Monday, September 29th 2014 @ 2:04 AM

Whenever I’m in San Francisco, I love to pop into the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park. It’s the oldest public Japanese Garden in the U.S. and is quite breathtaking with its five acres of pagodas, stone lanterns, koi ponds, stepping stones, greenery, and zen garden.

There’s a lovely gift shop, too, and a tea shop where you can get a pot of hot tea, basket of assorted tea sandwiches, kuzomochi (sweet rice cakes) and their not-to-be missed green tea cheesecake.

Enjoy!
