Tea is Trending Big Time in the Media by Laura Childs

Tuesday, August 26th 2014 @ 6:48 PM

I think it’s interesting to note that The Food Channel has named “low tea” as one of its Top Ten Food Trends.  As they define it, low tea is a light meal or snack accompanied by a cup (yes, even a Styrofoam cup) of tea.

They attribute this new low tea to the fact that folks are eating lighter, have jam-packed schedules, and often need a quick pick-me-up.  Well, those of us who are confirmed tea drinkers pretty much knew this all along, didn’t we?

CBS News also named tea a “hot food trend,” and declared that “the tea craze is for real.”  And NPR says that tea is trending and that tea leaves will be big in entrees, desserts, and cocktails.

Yes, we knew that, too.  But I think it’s always nice to hear it again.

Cheers!
