Tabby Cats and Tea by Laura Childs

Wednesday, February 26th 2014 @ 8:39 PM

Cat tea salons – upscale tea shops where you can sip a cup of tea and converse with a friendly feline – have been wildly popular in Japan.

Now, an entrepreneurial tea and cat-loving team is trying to open KitTea in San Francisco.  They plan to offer a variety of fine teas in a setting where patrons can mingle with dozens of cats.

The heart-tugging catch?  All of the cats are from local shelters and available for adoption.  Here’s hoping the health department gives them a pass!
