Has life ever thrown you a curve ball? You know what I mean. A surprise of some sort perhaps. A complete shocker. Something really Not so good? A lost job, a lost friend or family member, a loss for words, a lost passion? Just when you least expect it you are thrown a curve ball. So what do you do?
If the economy has got you down, why not turn lemons into lemonade? Make something from nothing. Find ways to be creative, thrifty, and adventurous. Look for resources online for creating money saving menus, resume’ help, job ideas, and other things to help with anything you need.
Perhaps the curve ball was not intended to be a bad thing. What if the curve was something thrown at you to make you get out of the way, take a different path, re-think things in your life? Perhaps that curve ball is just what you needed to make sense of your life.
If you really think about it and listen to the news - doesn’t it seem things come in waves? We go from quaint mom and pop local shops to major chain stores taking over, to major chains going out of business to mom and pops taking back their place. We have also gone from enjoying antique shops on a quiet Sunday afternoon to purchasing antiques online to these shops going out of business - and now have you noticed people have begun to slow down - seek out some consignment shops and antique shops to save money and find some really great things at bargain prices?
This all fits in perfectly with the trends to “Go Green”, reduce, reuse, recycle too. We can be friendlier to our environment and friendlier to ourselves, families, and friends.
Don’t let the curve balls in life get you down. Pick yourself up and find the brighter side of every situation.
