This time of year with summer around the bend we are often invited to parties, weddings and business events.   Do you know the proper protocol for leaving a party or event?

There is a proper way to leave a party that is often not practiced, however when it is used, speaks loudly about you in a positive manner.

Upon completion of the event, please do not leave until you have taken a few minutes, walked over to the host of the event and personally thanked him or her.

Comment positively on how you enjoyed the event, you may say something like, “This event was wonderful, thank you so much for inviting me.”

This seemingly small step, can put you miles ahead on the social or business path by speaking successfully about them and you.
