S/O09 - The Art of Toasting

posted by TeaHouseTimes Admin, ADVERTISER TEA RELATED PRODUCTSMonday, October 26th 2009 @ 11:23 AM

The art of toasting has been passed down for many generations. A toast is actually a gift you give someone…..do you know the art of giving a toast to someone?

Here are some guidelines:

- If you are in a small group of eight or less, you may remain seated.

- Raise your glass and look at the person whom you are toasting.

- Keep your toast brief… one to three minutes should be enough time.

- End on a positive note.

- Ask for all to join in and drink to that person.

A toast is not a roast and is one way we honor others. It is a skill that can enhance the evening and often make it one to remember.
