Sharey Monk’s Antique Teacup Paintings Now Offered Online

Art buyers can now order open edition fine art prints of Sharey Monk’s impressionist oil paintings of antique teacups with a broad array of frame and mat combinations through a new online shopping portal.

Initially the artist has selected a collection of five original oil paintings of antique teacups from the late 1800’s and early 1900’s that display the attention to design and craftsmanship by the artisans of that era.

Various paintings in Monk’s antique teacup series have been juried into art exhibitions hosted by Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, and the California Art Club.  Monk’s work was profiled in the March issue of American Art Collector and Informed Collector magazine recently described her paintings as “A tribute to the great porcelain artisans of bygone eras; each painting reminiscent of a story lurking in the depths of each teacup.”

About Sharey Monk and Teacup Paintings
Sharey Monk is an impressionist still life oil painter and MFA graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.  Her work hangs in collections in Canada, England, and across the US.  Monk is currently a member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, the Portrait Society of America, and California Art Club.

The antique teacup series of original oils, limited edition prints, and open edition prints is an appreciation of antique teacup shapes and patterns, often hand-crafted by artisans who spent decades developing their skill.  Monk works directly from the object in the natural light of her north light studio. "I always start with abstract shapes and play with composition then place it all together to bring the essence of the subject to life."  More information about the artist can be found at www.shareymonk.com

Fine Art Prints of her teacup paintings can now be ordered here.
