July 7, 2014

Greetings from The Tea House Times! We hope you had a wonderful weekend!

In an effort to extend the voice of the tea industry and promote the finer aspects of the enjoyment of tea and its health benefits, The Tea House Times rolled out two new outreach programs back in February; TEA SCOOP and guest bloggers for TEA BLOGS. (See: Giving Voice to Tea)  Both have been successful steps toward achieving this goal but only the beginning - how will you personally help extend the voice of tea? Do you share tea with family and friends?

Daily enjoyment of tea and sharing the experience goes a long way for creating personal and business relationships. In fact, we are also seeing tea used in other impressive ways to more deeply bond relationships - even being brought in as part of a wedding ceremony!

Did you know that tea was part of the very first meeting of the Red Hat Society? Yes! And the reason we are so excited that The Tea House Times is now available to ALL RHS members as part of their membership with the Red Hat Society . We are excited to share the joys of tea with so many people who simply enjoy it - in addition to reaching many wonderful tea businesses.

If you want to help extend the voice of tea, there will be plenty of opportunities to do so. We will be rolling out little bits of new things over the next few months and sporadically over the next year to keep the momentum and excitement and enjoyment of tea constantly moving forward. For now, please read Gail's blog entry from last week for a little insight into some small changes coming soon.

June 23, 2014

Greetings from The Tea House Times!

It is with great sadness that we share some news with you.   John Harney (Harney and Sons Fine Teas), 83, of Salisbury, Connecticut passed away on June 17. A Memorial for Mr. Harney has been written by James Norwood Pratt and may be viewed in print in the JulyAug2014 issue of The Tea House Times (to be uploaded and available for viewing later this afternoon), followed by an online supplement later this week.   Everyone in the tea industry will miss John and his wonderful guidance in creating great tea businesses.

In other tea industry news, George Jage, founder of World Tea Media has accepted a new position as president and publisher of CannaBusiness Media. See news linked below.

The Tea House Times July/Aug issue will be posted to our website later today. Sorry for the slight delay - but as you can see there has been quite a bit of industry activity over the last couple of weeks and we wanted to be sure to include some of these things in print.

Latest tea industry news are highlighted below and showing in our home page tea news feed at theteahousetimes.com

Please watch Tea Scoop later next week for more news via The Tea House Times and pre-screened news bits from around the web - there you will find guest blog updates as well. See http://teascoop.theteahousetimes.com

Greetings from The Tea House Times!

Happy Day-After Father's Day!! We hope you had a wonderful day with family. We saw a lot of great photos shared by fun dads enjoying tea with their daughters (some [dads] even put on dresses - too cute!)   We saw other photos of young men/teenagers enjoying a pot of tea with their families.   Proof - tea connects people. Every age, every gender. Wonderful!

In case you missed it during the past week, TEA SCOOP is back on track after our busy time at World Tea Expo. The latest is linked below.   There you will also find a link to Gail's latest blog -a tribute to World Tea Expo founder, George Jage, who is moving on..... - and a recap from the 2014 World Tea Expo.

The Tea House Times July/Aug issue will be posted to our website sometime this week. Stay tuned.

June 9, 2014

Greetings from The Tea House Times!

Welcome back to reality. The entire tea industry has been away to the biggest and best event of the year - World Tea Expo. So, of course, all went silent everywhere online as we gathered together with business friends from near and far.   It was wonderful.   And, at the moment it is all we keep hearing about from friends and followers - when will we receive a recap??   Well, here it is.   Our show coverage/recap from Gail's point of view.   It is not quite as long as usual but plenty long enough. We hope you enjoy.   Click here to read Gail's recap of the 2014 World Tea Expo.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are upgrading our web servers for multiple websites owned and operated and maintained or hosted by The Tea House Times. If you experience any delays or outages to any of our websites later this week, you will know why. Hopefully the only outages experienced will be late at night.

If you are in New Jersey, be sure to book your spot for a fun spa night at High SocieTea House in Wayne, NJ. Gail will be there to share at-home tea spa ideas and Molton Brown will be there to pamper us with hand massages. Other fun things are in store. Click here for details.
Spring Fling at High SocieTea House, Wayne, NJ - June 12, 6:30-8:30 pm
