MARKETING
1. Newsletters are a powerful marketing tool for all businesses. Newsletters make a statement about your business, strengthen customer loyalty, and create repeat business. 2. Maximize your customer’s awareness by sharing information. Share information about the pleasing ritual of tea time along with specialized information related to products and services your tea room offers. Share your knowledge and hospitality with customers. People enjoy your tea room, but are not as knowledgeable as you are about tea rituals and proper etiquette. Don’t assume they have the same passion, knowledge, and interests as you—educate them. 3. “Give a little back” The best marketing of all is direct to your customer by “giving a little back.” You will always be remembered for your kindness and generosity. Customers will refer your tea room to others and will return often themselves. Why not GIVE your customers The Tea House Times?

1. Expand your tea room business by offering a gift shoppe area. Offer products for sale at your tea room such as tea, tea cups, books, pictures, jewelry, pretty gardening decorations, anything to compliment your décor. If you are short on retail space, “decorate” your tea room with items available for sale. Create a beautiful environment and make some extra money at the same time. Try different themes, i.e. Victorian, Gardening, Antiques, etc. 2. Offer a “Sale” each month. Perhaps one month all Victorian items are a certain percentage off. Perhaps in the summer months you offer garden themed items on sale. Or all loose teas on sale this month….Each month you could create some sort of sale to draw customers back in more frequently.
